I’m so sick of this word. everyone says “oh it should work out” or “i should have done that”
who the fuck defines “should”??? yeah, it has a definition in the dictionary, but what the fuck does it even mean? the only way the word can be used is in retrospect, and when dealing with retrospect you cannot change circumstance. “should” doesn’t change the facts. It won’t change the outcome. i really don’t even know why it’s a word. It’s a word of laziness and pity. It’s saying: “Oh well, i fucked up, i know something different could have happened, but i didn’t do shit about it. ”
The word purely relies on the outcome of probability, and you cannot base fact or logic on probability. Without basing your actions on fact, where are you going to go? If you use the word in context to the past, its purpose is to show a mistake. If you use it in context with the future, you will make a mistake. It’s a negative word only used by people trying to calm or prevent a situation that’s going awry to begin with, or has already gone bad. So whats the point of it?
And even then, only people who can admit that they did wrong can use the word. its a trap to use the word. it’s misery’s best friend.
on top of that, it’s an auxiliary verb anyway. its not even a real verb. its just a fuckup. in every instance of using the word, the use is for expressing a mistake.
does anything that should happen ever happen? no.
does anything that should have happened, suddenly make everything ok? no.
so here’s to you “should” ….
FUCK YOU.
