Going Through the Box

Category: Uncategorized

I have this little wooden box, well. 2 actually. One of them is a box that a friend gave me when we were in probably 4th grade. I don’t recall why she gave it to me but at the time it meant something. I’ve held onto this box over the years. It’s small, but whats inside are the closest things to my heart. There needs to be a serious reason as to why something is in that box. The contents are not something I flaunt, or will show just anyone.. but if someone asks, and they’re dear to me.. I don’t hold back to provide some stories.

The other box was a gift, my brother in law gave to me at the wedding. I hold it just as close. But its a bit bigger, and can hold more, and different things. I dont keep my most sacred items in it, but I do cherish everything there.

I was going through the boxes tonight, recalling times past, and I seem to have a stack of movie tickets.

I don’t recall seeing S&S, but I do remember FnF.. Monte and I almost got the 240 stuck, because i went over unpaved road trying to leave the parking lot. Little did he know that unpaved road would eventually become his future and current employer.

I also have a few other things, prom/homecoming tix, concert tix, etc.. I even have my highschool IDs, except freshman year, dunno where that one went.

A few other random memories. Some good, some bad. All learning experiences.

It’s been a year since the loss of quite possibly one of the greatest comedians this world has ever had.
“The future will soon be a thing of the past.”

RIP Mr. Carlin, RIP.
